Full itinerary

  1. Arrive Paro and Drive Thimphu

Your guide meets you at Paro Airport for the drive to Thimphu. Follow the valley road to your hotel and settle in after the flight. Keep the evening light, with time for a short walk nearby and a conversation about the days ahead.

Stay: DusitD2 Yarkay Thimphu or similar

    Meals: Dinner

  2. Genekha to Gur

Drive to Genekha and meet the trekking crew before beginning the walk toward Gur. The route moves through forest and opens into meadow country as you gain height. Your guide sets a manageable pace, with breaks to adjust your layers and enjoy the surroundings. Reach the camp area in time to settle in before evening, then rest while the team prepares dinner. A short briefing covers the climb into lake country tomorrow.

    Stay: Gur Trek Camp

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  3. Gur to Labatama

Continue from Gur toward Labatama, climbing into the higher meadows and the Dagala lake country. The day's pace follows the ascent, with regular breaks and time to observe the yak-herder surroundings from the trail. Weather determines how much of the wider mountain scenery is visible. Reach the camp and spend the late afternoon resting rather than adding another long walk. Dinner and the guide's briefing prepare you for tomorrow's exploration around the lakes.

    Stay: Labatama Trek Camp

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  4. Labatama Lakes Day

Use Labatama as a base for walks to nearby lakes and viewpoints, choosing the day's route with your guide according to visibility and energy. The aim is to enjoy the lake setting without packing every possible detour into one day. Return to camp for breaks and leave time to rest in the afternoon. As evening approaches, stay close to camp, have dinner and prepare your kit for the next stage of the trek.

    Stay: Labatama Trek Camp

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  5. Labatama to Panka and Exit

Set out from Labatama toward Panka and the exit route agreed with the trekking team. The descent and roadhead transfer make this a demanding stage, so the guide checks the walking schedule before departure. Meet the vehicle once the trail section ends and continue toward Paro for your hotel stay. Keep the evening for rest and dinner after the trek, with onward departure arrangements reviewed before you turn in for the night.

Stay: Naksel Boutique Hotel Paro or similar

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  6. Departure from Paro

After breakfast, check out and meet your driver for the private transfer to Paro Airport. The pickup follows your confirmed flight time, allowing for luggage and airport formalities. Your Bhutan journey ends at the airport, with no additional sightseeing scheduled on the departure morning.
