Headhunters of Nagaland | 6N/7D
From Assam’s tea country to the Konyak villages of Nagaland: six nights, local hosts, private SUV travel and time to listen. Your dates, subject to permits and availability.
Leave the tea gardens of Dibrugarh for the hills of Mon and the border village of Longwa. Here, the journey unfolds through village lanes, family meals and conversations arranged by local guides. The Konyak are a living community; their history is one part of a much wider story. Two nights in Longwa give you time to explore without rushing. Meet local hosts, learn about the morung and traditional crafts, and request an introduction to elders where they are willing and available. Every portrait and household visit begins with permission. Return through Mon to Assam, with a day for Sivasagar’s Ahom heritage before departure from Dibrugarh. This is a private cultural road journey, not a luxury hotel circuit. Village stays are simple; room categories, bathrooms, meals, permits and the vehicle are agreed before booking. The itinerary stays within India.

No. This itinerary remains within India and permitted areas around Longwa. The border location is not permission to cross into Myanmar.

Will phone signal and Wi-Fi work?
