Hemis Festival 2027 with Hanle, Umling La & Tso Moriri
A remote 7-day Hemis Festival departure for travellers who want monastery culture followed by Hanle, Umling La, Changthang, and Tso Moriri in one sharp high-altitude route.
The 2026 departure has closed. Register your interest in the 2027 edition; dates, stays and final pricing require confirmation. This is the more adventurous Hemis Festival option. Choose this route if you want Hemis Festival with Hanle, Umling La, Changthang, and Tso Moriri instead of the classic Nubra, Turtuk, and Pangong arc. The opening remains the same: land in Leh, acclimatize properly, explore locally, and dedicate Day 3 to Hemis Festival. From Day 4 onward, the route leaves the classic tourist arc and moves into Changthang through Hanle, Umling La, and Tso Moriri. It is designed for travellers who want Ladakh's cultural high point and then a remote high-altitude landscape journey. Hanle brings dark skies and frontier silence, Umling La brings the big pass moment, and Tso Moriri closes the route with one of Ladakh's most beautiful lake landscapes. Important remote-route note: Hanle, Umling La, Changthang, and Tso Moriri are subject to permits, weather, road, health, and local authority conditions. Remote areas have limited infrastructure, network, and medical access, so this route is recommended in the Premium tier or higher for a smoother experience.

Questions before you book
Who should choose the Hemis with Hanle, Umling La and Tso Moriri route?
Choose this route if you want a more remote and adventurous Ladakh journey after the festival. It suits fit travellers, photographers, repeat Ladakh guests, and people comfortable with long drives and simple remote infrastructure.
Is Umling La guaranteed?
Umling La is planned, but final access depends on permits, road conditions, weather, health, and local authority instructions. Safety and legal permissions will always come before forcing the pass.
Are stays in Hanle and Tso Moriri luxury-level?
Remote-sector stays are limited compared with Leh. Hanle usually works best with Padam Homestay, Crane Resort, Sangrik Resort or similar in Premium, with Sky Adobe / best confirmed remote comfort stay as the luxury-style upgrade. Tso Moriri upgrades use Kailash Homestay, Lake View Hotel, Grand Dolphin or similar based on live availability.
Can international guests book this route?
International guests should request a custom WhatsApp quote before booking because permit rules, documentation, restricted-area access, and service level may vary.
