Arrival in Leh & Complete Acclimatization
Welcome to Ladakh. Upon arrival at Leh Airport, our team will assist you with a transfer to your boutique hotel. The first day is strictly for complete rest and acclimatization to the high altitude. Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La
After an early breakfast, begin your ascent towards the iconic Khardung La Pass. The drive offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Zanskar range. Descend into the vast landscapes of Nubra Valley, characterized by cold deserts and double-humped Bactrian camels. Check into your stay and spend the evening relaxing by the dunes. Umling La Excursion & Return to Hanle
A true milestone day. We drive from Hanle to conquer Umling La Pass, standing at an astounding 19,024 feet. It held the Guinness-certified road record in 2021; Mig La has since been announced as the higher motorable road. Experience the thin air and epic views from the roof of the world before descending back to Hanle for a well-deserved rest. Route Hanle → Umling La → Hanle. Elevation Umling La 5,798 m (19,024 ft). Questions before you book
Will I have mobile network and WiFi during the trip?
Most stays on this route have WiFi. Very remote camps at high-altitude passes or riverside locations may not — your guide will let you know in advance. For mobile network in Ladakh, a postpaid Jio or Airtel SIM is essential — prepaid SIMs do not work in Ladakh due to Inner Line regulations. Network coverage has improved significantly across the region: Leh, Kargil, Pangong Tso, Hanle, Demchok, Padum, and Zanskar town now have reliable signal on both Jio and Airtel. Expect brief network drops on high mountain passes and remote valley drives between stops — this is normal and part of the remote experience. Download offline maps (Google Maps or Maps.me) before entering remote zones.

Yes, but acclimatization is key. This 9-day itinerary is paced to allow proper acclimatization before reaching the extreme altitude of Umling La on Day 6. Our Premium SUV is equipped with oxygen cylinders for safety.
