Questions before you book
Will I have mobile network and WiFi during the trip?
Most stays on this route have WiFi. Very remote camps at high-altitude passes or riverside locations may not — your guide will let you know in advance. For mobile network in Ladakh, a postpaid Jio or Airtel SIM is essential — prepaid SIMs do not work in Ladakh due to Inner Line regulations. Network coverage has improved significantly across the region: Leh, Kargil, Pangong Tso, Hanle, Demchok, Padum, and Zanskar town now have reliable signal on both Jio and Airtel. Expect brief network drops on high mountain passes and remote valley drives between stops — this is normal and part of the remote experience. Download offline maps (Google Maps or Maps.me) before entering remote zones.
Who is this 14-day journey designed for?
Travellers seeking a balanced introduction to India—combining iconic cultural sites of the Golden Triangle and Varanasi with a curated Ladakh expedition. Pace is relaxed in the plains and progressively higher-altitude in Ladakh, suiting first-time visitors and returning travellers alike.
How is altitude managed on the Ladakh portion?
Day 9 is intentionally a rest and acclimatisation day in Leh. High-altitude crossings (Khardung La, Chang La) are scheduled after acclimatisation. Oxygen support and a medicine box are kept in every vehicle, with optional helicopter evacuation insurance available on request.
Are domestic flights included in the price?
Long-distance transfers between cities are routed via premium train or flight. Internal sectors such as Varanasi → Delhi → Leh and Leh → Delhi can be ticketed by our team and added to your invoice, or booked separately based on your preference.
What is the best season to do this trip?
May to early October is ideal—Ladakh's high passes are open and the plains are warm. Avoid peak monsoon weeks in July–August for Varanasi if you prefer drier weather. We can also operate September–October departures with crisp Himalayan light.
Can the itinerary be customised?
Yes. We can adjust the pace, add a Hanle / Changthang extension, upgrade to luxury heritage stays in Rajasthan, or design a fully private departure for couples and families. Talk to our team to tailor the journey.
