Ladakh & Changthang Explorer
A 10-day Leh-to-Leh private route for guests who want Nubra, Turtuk, Pangong, Hanle and Tso Moriri, but do not want the longer Zanskar circuit.
This 10-day Ladakh and Changthang Explorer is a private Leh-to-Leh journey built for guests who want eastern Ladakh clearly, without adding Zanskar or a Delhi/Manali road approach. It starts with two careful acclimatisation nights in Leh, then moves through Nubra, Turtuk, Pangong, Hanle, Tso Moriri and Hemis before ending with a relaxed Leh day. This is the simpler alternative to the Full Ladakh Circuit with Zanskar: shorter, easier to understand, and focused on the Nubra-Pangong-Hanle-Tso Moriri arc. It is also more complete than a 7-day Ladakh route because it gives Hanle, Tso Moriri and a slow final Leh day enough space. The base Explorer package uses a thoughtful mix of deluxe and premium stays such as Namra Villa in Leh, La Bliss in Nubra, Sama Pangong, Gua Homestay / Crane Resort in Hanle and Grand Dolphin / Lake View around Tso Moriri. Premium, Luxury and Ultra Luxe stay upgrades can be quoted separately after date and room availability checks.

Day 2 — Leh local and acclimatisation.
A relaxed introduction to Ladakh before entering higher valleys. Explore Leh Old Town, Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, Shey Palace and Thiksey Monastery at an easy pace. Stay Leh.
Stay: Namra Villa, Leh or similar
Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
Day 3 — Leh to Nubra via Khardung La.

Stay: La Bliss, Nubra Valley or similar

Day 4 — Nubra to Turtuk and Thang.
Drive deeper into the Balti region towards Turtuk. Walk through old village lanes, orchards, traditional homes and heritage areas with time to understand the borderland culture. Day 5 — Nubra to Pangong by Shyok Valley.
Leave Nubra and follow the remote Shyok Valley route towards Pangong Lake. The road passes isolated river valleys, small settlements and dramatic high-desert terrain before opening into the lake landscape. Keep the evening free around Pangong for slow time and photography. The evening is kept free after arrival so the group can rest after the Changthang road. Route Tso Moriri -> Korzok -> Mahe -> Upshi -> Hemis Monastery -> Leh. Distance ~220-240 km. Driving ~5-6 hours including Hemis visit. Stay Leh.
Stay: Namra Villa, Leh or similar

Questions before you book
Is this a fixed departure or a private journey?
This is designed as a private Leh-to-Leh journey for your own group. Dates, rooms, vehicle and upgrades are confirmed after checking availability.
How is this different from the Full Ladakh Circuit with Zanskar?
This route does not include Zanskar. It focuses on Nubra, Turtuk, Pangong, Hanle, Tso Moriri, Hemis and a slow final Leh day, making it shorter and easier than the full Zanskar circuit.
How is this different from the 7-day Ladakh routes?
Seven-day routes usually compress Nubra, Pangong and Leh. This 10-day version adds Hanle, Tso Moriri and a final slow Leh day, so the route feels more complete without becoming a full Zanskar expedition.
How is this different from the Nomadic Circuit?
The Nomadic Circuit is more remote and Changpa-culture led. This Explorer keeps the famous Ladakh highlights first, then adds Hanle and Tso Moriri in a more accessible private-journey format.
What is the Explorer stay plan?
Explorer uses Namra Villa in Leh, La Bliss in Nubra, Sama Pangong or similar, Gua Homestay / Crane Resort in Hanle, and Grand Dolphin / Lake View around Tso Moriri, subject to availability.
Can stays be upgraded?
Yes. Premium, Luxury and Ultra Luxe upgrades can be quoted separately. Final property names depend on travel dates, room category and remote-route availability.
Is Hanle stargazing guaranteed?
No. Stargazing is subject to clear skies, guest comfort and local timing. The route keeps a Hanle night so the chance is built into the plan, but weather always decides.
