This daily format suits solo travellers and friends who are comfortable sharing the cottage with a small group. The trail and summit are public spaces, and the overnight cottage is 2.5 km below Triund.

How this small-group departure works

The departure runs daily, even with one guest, subject to safe conditions and confirmation. Your group never exceeds four. Pickup is at 10:00 am from your stay in McLeod Ganj, Bhagsu or within the stated 3 km area. Send your hotel location so the team can confirm the pickup. The guide briefs the group at the starting point that morning.

The daily price uses same-gender double sharing: women with women, men with men and couples together. It does not buy exclusive use of the cottage. There are two heated rooms, a Western-style guest washroom with running water and hot water brought by the staff for bathing; there is no shower. Solar power has inverter backup.

Your two days on the Bhagsu route

Day 1: pickup, forest walk and cottage night

Walk from Bhagsu Square past Bhagsu Waterfall to the cottage, approximately 3.5 km and around three hours with stops. Welcome siddu and tea, lunch, evening snacks and a Pahari dinner are included. The bonfire depends on weather and fire-safety rules. Rest at the cottage; this itinerary does not sleep on the summit.

Day 2: Triund walk and return to your stay

After breakfast, the planned walk to Triund is around 2.5 km and two hours with stops. Take a packed lunch, then descend with the guide to Bhagsu, allowing around four hours for the descent. A vehicle returns you to your stay. Timings depend on pace, daylight and trail conditions; do not plan around a guaranteed summit or exact finish time.

• Local guide for both days, trekking poles, required permits and drinking water.
• Welcome refreshments, listed meals through the packed lunch, and a trail energy kit.
• Pickup and drop within the stated local area, plus the morning briefing.

GST is additional to the base fare. Travel to McLeod Ganj, extra hotel nights, personal insurance and expenses, and Snowline/Laka/Indrahar extensions are outside this package unless separately confirmed.

Daily sharing or a private cottage?

Choose this daily package for a lower per-person price and a group of up to four with shared accommodation. Choose the private Triund cottage trek for exclusive arrangements for a couple, solo traveller or group of three to six. The trek route and core cottage facilities are shared product facts; privacy, group arrangement and price basis differ. Neither option makes the public trail private.

Yes. The daily departure can run with one guest, subject to weather, trail access and booking confirmation. Rooms use same-gender double sharing; solo guests may share with a guest of the same gender.

Does the daily package reserve the whole cottage for me?

No. This is the shared departure, with up to four guests. Choose a private couple, solo or group arrangement if you need exclusive cottage use.
